Our outdoor riding ring recently was enhanced with new footing, the same type that is used in the sand rings at the Hampton Classic. Additionally courses are changed roughly every two weeks to accommodate for both horse and rider preparing for competitions, over varying levels of challenging tracks. The ring is watered and dragged daily, as well as routine maintenance to ensure peak riding condition.
The cold weather or rain isn't a problem when you have an indoor ring! The indoor is spacious, and able to accommodate a full 9 jump course. During the winter the ring is dragged daily, and watered on an as needed basis. During the summer the ring will be maintained regularly. Courses, short courses, and exercises will be set inside year round and changed roughly every two weeks. The footing inside was also recently update with the same material used outside.
